DOE Presses EPA To Drop ‘Burdensome’ Provisions In OB/OD Proposal

The Department of Energy (DOE) is warning EPA that several elements of its proposed rule for open burning/open detonation (OB/OD) of waste munitions are overly “burdensome,” especially for facilities going through an emergency disposal process, and urging the agency to ease or eliminate some of those mandates to avoid heavy administrative costs.
